Manuka Honey
Pinky white star-shaped Manuka flowers appear in early spring
and are a common sight over many months through the New Zealand
summer attracting the honey bees. Manuka flowers have a very strong
aromatic fragrance and are full of the nectar which provides this
dark, creamy, slightly bitter tasting honey.
The plant is treasured by the Maori people and has historically
been used for medicinal purposes.
